A detail is where a concept accepts responsibility. The broad promise of openness, care, adaptability, or lightness must eventually become a hinge, an edge, a fastener, or a gap.

Choose one detail that contains the project’s central tension. Draw it larger than feels comfortable. At that scale, vague intentions become material decisions, and material decisions reveal who can build, maintain, change, or occupy the work.

The strongest details do not merely resolve construction. They restate the project in physical terms.
